In Memorium: Margaret L. Augustine – A Tribute To Our Co-Founder

Margaret co-founded Augustine Exterminators and opened the company on August 1, 1966, with her husband James. She handled all aspects of the office in their home in Prairie Village, Kansas while raising their six children (not an easy feat!). Margaret was the Director on the Board of Directors since 1967 when she and James incorporated Augustine Exterminators, Inc. She was also the Secretary and Treasurer from that time forward and was Bookkeeper throughout the first decade of operation. She ushered in the computer era for the company in the 1980s by completing a Computer Technologies Course in Houston. She also attended the National Pest Management Association meetings for over thirty years. Margaret was a loving mother and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would never miss out on a chance to show her love and support to her family, loudly cheering them along! Margaret and her adventurous spirit will be remembered and missed dearly by all.

Christopher S. Augustine - President

Chris is a certified pest control applicator for the states of Kansas and Missouri. He has been working in the pest control industry for the past twenty-four years, employed in his parents’ family-owned business. He has experience in all aspects of the industry. Chris has completed the Purdue University Pest Control course and attended the Whitmire Institute of Technology Management Conference and Scientific Symposium for three years. He is a member of the Kansas and Missouri Pest Control Associations.

Chris has attended Legislative Days in Washington, D.C., on behalf of the Pest Control Industry, along with the National Pest Management Association. Chris was President for the Kansas Pest Control Association in 2001 and served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Pest Control Association for six years. He has also served as Committee Chairman for several committees and served as Co-Chairman of the Education and Training Committee.

Thad Butler, A.C.E - Manager

Thad is Augustine's Termite and Pest Control Manager and he is an Associate Certified Entomologist. He has worked for Augustine Exterminators, Inc. for almost 10 years. He has earned the Master Technician designation from the state of Kansas and he is a Certified Pest Control Applicator in Kansas (categories 7A, 7E, 3A and 3B) and Missouri (categories 7A, 7B and category 3). Thad has a Bachelor's of Science degree from Northwest Missouri State University. Prior to joining the Augustine team, Thad worked in corporate America for 20 years including 17 years at AT&T.
